FAQ — Touch of Class Pro Painting

Question 1

What painting services do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We offer a full range of residential and commercial painting services, including interior painting, exterior painting, cabinet refinishing and lacquer, specialty finishes (Venetian plaster, faux finishes), deck and fence painting, garage floor epoxy coatings, and pressure washing and surface preparation.

Question 2

Do you paint both residential and commercial properties?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work on both residential homes and commercial properties throughout Greater Los Angeles. Our commercial services include offices, retail spaces, restaurants, multi-unit residential buildings, industrial facilities, and healthcare and education facilities.

Question 3

Do you offer cabinet refinishing?

Accepted Answer

Yes — cabinet refinishing is one of our specialties. We use professional lacquer systems to deliver a smooth, factory-quality finish on kitchen and bathroom cabinets. It's one of the most cost-effective ways to transform the look of your kitchen without a full remodel.

Question 4

Can you help me choose colors?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. During your free consultation, we can discuss your color vision, review samples, and offer guidance based on your home's architecture, lighting, and existing finishes. We work with all major paint brands and can source any color you have in mind.

Question 5

Do you offer specialty finishes like Venetian plaster or faux finishes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our specialty finishes team is experienced in Venetian plaster, limewash, faux finishes, textured coatings, and other decorative techniques. These finishes add depth and character to walls and are a great way to create a truly custom look.

Question 6

How does the process work from start to finish?

Accepted Answer

It starts with a free on-site consultation and estimate. Once you approve the quote, we schedule your project, handle all surface preparation (patching, sanding, priming), apply the paint with care, do a thorough detail and touch-up pass, and finish with a complete clean-up and walkthrough with you to ensure your satisfaction.

Question 7

How long does a typical painting project take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the scope. A single room interior can be completed in one day. A whole-home interior repaint typically takes three to five days. Exterior projects vary based on the size of the home and surface condition. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your estimate.

Question 8

Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?

Accepted Answer

We ask that you remove small valuables and fragile items. Our crew will move and cover larger furniture with drop cloths and plastic sheeting before we begin. We take every precaution to protect your belongings and floors throughout the project.

Question 9

What surface preparation do you do before painting?

Accepted Answer

Proper prep is the foundation of a lasting paint job. We fill holes and cracks, sand rough surfaces, scrape peeling paint, caulk gaps around trim and windows, and apply primer where needed. We never skip prep — it's what separates a quality paint job from one that fails prematurely.

Question 10

Can you work around my schedule or business hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For commercial projects especially, we offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends to minimize disruption to your operations. For residential projects, we work with your schedule to find start times and project phases that work for your household.

Question 11

How much does interior painting cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on the size of the space, the number of rooms, ceiling height, surface condition, and the paint products selected. We provide detailed, itemized written estimates so you know exactly what you're paying for. Request a free estimate and we'll give you an accurate quote for your specific project.

Question 12

Do you offer free estimates?

Accepted Answer

Yes — all estimates are completely free and come with no obligation. We visit your property, assess the scope of work, and provide a detailed written quote. There's no pressure and no cost to you.

Question 13

What is included in your estimate?

Accepted Answer

Our estimates include all labor, surface preparation, primer (where needed), paint materials, and clean-up. We itemize everything so there are no surprises. If the scope changes during the project, we discuss it with you before proceeding.

Question 14

Do you require a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we typically require a deposit to secure your project on our schedule. The deposit amount and payment terms will be clearly outlined in your written contract before any work begins.

Question 15

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Touch of Class Pro Painting is a fully licensed California painting contractor. We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage on every project. You can request our license number and proof of insurance at any time.

Question 16

What is your California contractor license number?

Accepted Answer

Our California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license number is available upon request. We're happy to provide it along with proof of insurance before any project begins.

Question 17

Why does licensing matter when hiring a painter?

Accepted Answer

Hiring a licensed contractor protects you. A CA license means the contractor has passed state exams, carries required insurance, and is accountable to the Contractors State License Board. Unlicensed contractors leave you exposed to liability if a worker is injured on your property, and you have no recourse if the work is substandard.

Question 18

What paint brands do you use?

Accepted Answer

We work with premium paint brands including Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Dunn-Edwards — brands known for their quality, durability, and color accuracy. We can also work with other brands if you have a preference or existing paint you'd like matched.

Question 19

Do you offer low-VOC or eco-friendly paint options?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer low-VOC and zero-VOC paint options from our preferred brands. These are especially recommended for bedrooms, nurseries, and spaces with limited ventilation. Just let us know during your consultation and we'll recommend the right products.

Question 20

How long will the paint job last?

Accepted Answer

A properly prepared and painted surface using premium materials should last seven to ten years or more on interiors, and five to seven years on exteriors depending on sun exposure and weather conditions. Proper prep and quality materials are the biggest factors in longevity.
